WikiCultures is a place for intercultural knowledge exchange.

It is a free, reliable cross-cultural guide to interaction around the world. WikiCultures is built on the knowledge of interculturalists from around the world, and people who have first hand experience in those countries.

The project started as an idea in March 2008 by Vanessa Landry-Claverie. It launched to the public in May 2008. It was inspired by other wikis, like Wikipedia and Wikitravel, and other sites like CultureCrossing.

The goal of this site is to help people around the world understand the different cultures which make our world; to help people interact and understand the subtleties of each culture.

WikiCultures was created with MediaWiki. A wiki is an easy way to share, update, edit and illustrate information about almost anything.

All of our WikiCulturalists help in gathering this information and making it accessible to the world. The more people use WIkiCultures, the better it will become.
